Sorry i've been on a blogging hiatus.. life just happens and time passes so quickly! But don't fear, I'm back and it's literally the best time of the year.. FALL is here!! What better way than to kick off the season by attending a fall festival? My parents and I headed up to Hiawassee, Ga to do a little camping this weekend and the weather couldn't have been more perfect! We woke up Saturday morning to 46 degrees and I finally got to bust out my fall wardrobe: VESTS. I'm not sure what my obsession with vests is, but I rock them all fall/winter long :)

| We were freezing! |

We attended the John C. Campbell Folk school's annual fall festival, and let me tell you.. this was like Dahlonega's Gold Rush x 10! (Gold Rush coming soon!!) There were over 200 vendors and they were scattered among the school's breathtaking campus. The school is nestled up just north of Hayesville, NC. Mama and I are planning to spend a week there to learn the timeless trades.. pottery, wood carving, blacksmithing, basket weaving, clogging - (yes, I can clog), and so much more! It was so neat to see everyone's talents out on display.

We headed home after spending almost all day walking around and eating barbecue and kettle corn, but we stumbled upon this gorgeous barn and had to document all of its glory. If you know me, I am obsessed with old barns. Daddy and I sort of started a project of crafting a photo-book of all the old barns we come across in our loafing days. (There are soooo many in North Ga and NC!) This one was just north of the Hayesville, NC town square.

xoxo, ab
